Job Purpose

To provide expert electronic engineering solutions to complex designs on the basis of knowledge and work experience to the work of the Particle Physics Experiment (PPE) Group. Contribute in developing and building the upgraded ATLAS and LHCb tracking detectors and produce engineering designs to the wider detector development activities of the Group.

Standard Terms & Conditions

Salary will be on the Technical & Specialist Grade, level 6, £28,098- £31,604 per annum.

This post is to cover maternity leave on a month to month basis up to 6 months or until the substantive postholder returns from maternity leave, or in the event of her resignation, whichever date is earlier

New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.

The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities’ Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
