Applications are invited for a three-year position in the UCL Institute for Health Informatics , which is expanding its work in precision medicine as part of the newly funded Health Data Research UK. Professor Harry Hemingway is Director of IHI at UCL and the London Site of HDR UK. The appointee will join an exciting programme of work funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative, BigData@Heart Award ( ) and will be a leading member of the analysis team of the HERMES Consortium ( ), a large-scale genetic investigation of heart failure based at University College London (PIs: Dr Tom Lumbers, Dr Dan Swerdlow).

This post is funded for 3 years in the first instance.

The post would suit an individual whose background is in statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology, bioinformatics or clinical data science and with expertise in two or more of these areas. Experience in the analysis of sequence data , and the application of complex statistical models or statistical learning approaches would be advantageous. The post holder will be motivated and resourceful, an effective independent worker, and a collaborative member of an international multidisciplinary team.
