Position Description:
The Centre for Applied Mathematics at the Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen Graduate School invites outstanding researchers in mathematical sciences to apply for up to 3 postdoc positions in 2018. We are interested in candidates working in the following areas, but not only restricted to:

  1. Mathematical theory and methods for data sciences
  2. Mathematical theory and methods of artificial intelligence and machine learning
  3. Mathematical theory and methods of complex networks and time series

Designed to attract the talented researchers in the world, each Fellowship provides a significant opportunity to conduct high-level research at one of China’s premier C9 League of universities.

Successful applicants are expected to conduct research full-time in areas mentioned above or ongoing projects. A tax-free annual salary is 20000 GBP. In addition, the center will support academic conferences. Successful applicants will be provided public accommodation near the university campus. Teaching duties will be limited to no more than one course (32 credit hours) per year.

The position is normally for two years. Fellows can seek another two-year contract extension or promotion to a tenure-track faculty position depending on academic performance. Basic requirements for the applicants (1) Ph.D degree in Mathematics, statistics, computer sciences or related fields, (2) Good programming at least one of languages: MATLAB, Python, C/C++ or R and so on.
