Surrey Business School (SBS) is seeking an exceptional Senior Teaching Fellow in Professional Development & Employability to provide leadership in developing our postgraduate professional training programme while supporting the professional development and employability of our students across all levels and programmes.  Building upon our established strengths in Professional Development and Employability of our undergraduate students, an exciting new opportunity has arisen to advance our programme of professional training placements and work-based learning opportunities for our postgraduate students.

With a strong Senior Management Team led by its newly appointed Dean, Professor Ansgar Richter, we are ambitious in building a world-class interdisciplinary business school where innovative thinking is accelerated into action. This is a period of exciting development and opportunity for Surrey Business School. The successful candidate will be central to the development of our postgraduate programme in Professional Training and will be expected to take the lead in getting this up and running. We are looking for an individual with excellent teaching skills which contribute to an exceptional student experience and also experience in programme design and leadership.

You should be enthusiastic about enabling students to apply classroom learning into practice, realising their potential and identifying the career directions they might take.  As someone who enjoys interacting with students, you will provide guidance and support students in a manner that empowers them to make decisions on their own behalf.

Committed to helping students grow through gaining real experience, you will be expected to manage and generate new relationships and maintain existing links with employers to encourage uptake of placements and other work experience opportunities.

With an honours degree, or an appropriate equivalent professional qualification, you will be able to combine academic rigour with professional realism, ideally bringing with you relevant commercial experience.
