The School is seeking to appoint an Examinations Officer / Strategic Lead for Timetabling, to join its academic team. You will be the nominated Examinations Officer across the School and, working closely with the Professorial Lead for assessment, will ensure the production, delivery and review of all assessments, in line with internal and professional body requirements for dental team education and training. You will also be the nominated strategic lead for timetabling, working closely with Course / Module Leads and the Student Experience Officer for Timetabling (a dedicated position within the School), to build and maintain a fully integrated clinical academic timetable. The School operates across a number of sites and has a range of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, the majority of which have clinical components. As an academic staff member, you will also contribute to the academic development, course management, teaching, research development and knowledge transfer activities within the School.
We require you to hold a first degree and either hold a higher degree in a related area, or be working towards this. You will have significant recent experience working on assessment in an HE academic (or equivalent) environment, along with teaching experience. It is essential that you have experience of assimilating, manipulating and interpreting complex quantitative data to support decision-making, and that you have worked collaboratively with staff at all levels.
Having excellent organisational and communication skills, you must also have high-level skills in MS excel and other analytical software, along with an ability to produce and manage datasets. The ability to interpret and apply complex information is essential, as is the ability to present complex statistical reports clearly and simply to both technical and non-technical audiences.
