Teaching & Research Lecturer in Marine Biology/Ecology

Applications are invited for the above full-time, permanent post working in the School of Ocean Sciences.

The School of Ocean Sciences (SOS) is a multidisciplinary department with a focus on continental shelf sciences. Core research interests include physical oceanography, marine biology and ecology, biogeochemistry and climate change science. The successful candidate will actively contribute to the School’s interdisciplinary ethos and exploit the wide range of expertise and facilities available in the School and elsewhere within the University.

Duties will include research and teaching of marine biology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 

The successful candidate will have a PhD (must be awarded on application) in marine biology or a related subject. Applications from candidates working in all areas of marine biology/ecology will be considered. However, the School has particular scope to develop research and teaching in area of the sustainable use of fisheries resources.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence 1st August 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.
