Starting salary from £18,777 - £20,989 per annum (pro rata) with further progression opportunities to £22,876

We have an exciting opportunity for two experienced and professional administrators to join our Human Resources team and contribute to the delivery of an excellent HR service that supports the University’s vision. 

As a HR Assistant you will work flexibly as part of a team responsible for the administrative and advisory activities, ensuring the delivery of a high quality Human Resources service across the University. You will be responsible for the provision of advice and guidance on general employment matters in addition to providing administrative support throughout the employment lifecycle including casual hourly paid employment. A key element of your remit will be ensuring BU’s compliance at all times in respect of relevant immigration legislation and regulations.

You will have significant experience of undertaking complex transactional administrative work in a busy office, including data entry.  You will possess excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure and attention to detail.  You will be confident in liaising with key stakeholders and having an involvement in recruitment and training events. Able to main confidentiality, you will be highly motivated to provide an excellent and proactive service in line with operational deadlines. 

We have the following full-time positions available:

  • Post 1 is based within the HR Administration Team: This post is available on a fixed time basis for up to 6 months until October 2018.
  • Post 2 is based within the Hourly Paid Staff Team: This post is available on a full time and fixed term basis until December 2018.
