Knowledge Exchange Officer - Research and Integration

The UK Centre for Research on Energy Demand (UKCRED) is a major new initiative of the UK Research Councils’ Energy Programme. The Centre will undertake globally leading research on energy demand issues and act as the knowledge exchange hub for the UK energy demand research community. The Centre will have a Co-ordination Node of six staff, which will act as the focus of knowledge exchange with stakeholders inside and outside academia. The post of Knowledge Exchange Officer will be an important role in the Co-ordination Node and is an exciting opportunity to influence energy use in the UK.

Your duties will include leading the development and implementation of knowledge exchange activities in UKCRED with research audiences, working closely with the UK energy demand research community. You will research, develop and maintain a stakeholder map for the research community and present papers at external meetings/seminars. You will also develop and implement systems for acquisition and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data to assess the effectiveness of UKCRED knowledge exchange activities with research audiences.

You must have a relevant academic qualification at Master's or higher; or equivalent experience in business or the public sector. You will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present results, and represent the centre at meetings. Demonstrable skills and experience in knowledge exchange activities is essential. Interest in, and demonstrable knowledge of, energy demand issues is a must.

This position is full-time until 31 March 2023.
