We are committed to remaining at the forefront of best practice and shaping the sector for the future, so we are keen to attract visionary academics.

About the role:

Focusing on research, teaching or knowledge exchange and enterprise, you will become a distinguished academic within your field whilst making a sustained contribution to the advancement of learning. Your remit will span teaching and student supervision as well as administration and academic leadership, and you will do whatever it takes to make our Financial Technology postgraduate programmes pre-eminent within the field. Depending upon your specialism, you may find yourself building an international research profile, managing a portfolio of knowledge exchange projects with demonstrable social, cultural and environmental economic impact, or shaping our curriculum, learning materials and teaching style. You will certainly build on our strong demand for Financial Technology programmes to take the University to the next level, and in return we would expect you to become a Professor within four to five years.

About You:

Alongside a relevant PhD and a formal teaching qualification, you should be a Senior Fellow of the HEA or committed to attaining this status within three years. Naturally, you will be an expert on Financial Technology, including recent developments in the field, and you will be able to demonstrate an impressive record of research, partnership building or innovative teaching. Above all, you will be able to show a major contribution to academic leadership and a high profile on the international stage, and you will be keen to lead, develop, mentor and motivate students and colleagues alike.
