Associate Lecturer or Lecturer in Law (Fixed-Term for 3 years)

The School of Law at Middlesex University London invites applications for the Associate Lecturer or Lecturer in Law (Fixed-Term for 3 years) commencing on 1 September 2018 or as soon thereafter as possible.

 We are seeking applications from candidates who can strengthen our research profile and enhance teaching delivery in at least one of the areas below:

  • Criminal Law
  • Tort Law

An evidenced ability to assist in the delivery of core undergraduate and/or postgraduate law modules is required. Additional teaching or professional expertise in one or several of the following areas would be beneficial: Legal Method; Company Law; Child and Family Law; Equity and Trusts. Prior experience of legal education and/or legal practice would be an asset.

Educated to degree and/or PhD level (or PhD near completion), the level of appointment will be dependent on qualifications and experience. The School would welcome applications from applicants with legal professional qualifications in lieu of a PhD in Law.

Candidates shortlisted for interview will be required to give a presentation suitable for first year law undergraduates as part of the interview process.
