Lecturer In Philosophy (2 Posts) Grade 7

The University of Liverpool seeks to appoint two Lecturers in Philosophy (Teaching and Research). You should have outstanding potential as a philosopher, be able to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and be willing to play a full role in the life of the Department. You should have a Degree (2.1 or above) in philosophy or a cognate discipline and a PhD in an area relevant to the post.

Ideally, we are looking for somebody who can support the Department’s future-oriented research programme, which focuses on the philosophical implications of likely future technological developments and scientific advances. We particularly welcome applications from candidates with expertise in one of the following areas: a) the philosophy of art with an interest in new media art and links between creativity and new technologies, b) metaphysics, logic, and the philosophy of mathematics, and c) epistemology.
