Full-Time (Part time appointment of at least 50% FTE would also be considered)

Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2019.

Warwick Medical School (WMS) wishes to appoint a Senior Research Fellow in Medical Statistics to undertake and oversee the statistical analysis of the Warwick component of the Elucidating Pathways of Child Health Inequalities: An International Perspective (EPOCH) study; a large international study evaluating the relationship between socioeconomic status and child health outcomes using longitudinal cohort data.

You will have a PhD or equivalent qualification relevant to medical statistics and epidemiology together with specialist knowledge of and significant post-doctoral experience of application of statistical methods in epidemiology, longitudinal studies or cohort studies. You will have a proven track record in delivering quality research projects or statistical analyses to a deadline and an ability to write research reports and papers in styles accessible to both academic and other audiences.

You will be a member of the Statistics and Epidemiology group in the Division of Health Sciences and work closely with Professor Nigel Stallard, the head of the group, and with the Warwick EPOCH investigators, Prof Nicholas Spencer and Dr Clare Blackburn. You will take responsibility for the statistical modelling and analysis of the UK EPOCH data and will also liaise with international EPOCH researchers in Canada, Netherlands, Sweden and US.

It is intended to appoint a Research Fellow, who you will supervise, to work with you on the EPOCH UK cohort data analysis.
