An exciting position within the IT Development Team of one of the region's largest and most ambitious Universities.

The mixed discipline team of .NET developers, testers, designers and BI developers provide software solutions for students and staff of the institution in the areas of web, mobile, integration and data. Highly dynamic, the team use Scrum with Agile Testing with cutting edge and cloud-based tooling to bring quality and value to a wide spectrum of stakeholders.

We are seeking a full-stack developer, skilled in .NET, MVC and SQL Server but also able to take conceptual UIs and translate into engaging, modern and dynamic UX. This will entail using a variety of front-end skills from Photoshop/Fireworks to HTML5, CSS3 and popular JavaScript frameworks.

Experienced in agile development environments, you will become an integral part of a scrum team focussed on delivering quality solutions to the University, working in tandem with Architects, Developers and Testers in a highly collaborative build-test-ship partnership.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to make their mark on how software solutions are delivered and maintain exposure to cutting edge practices, tooling and software solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Able to provide a portfolio and examples of previous work.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of UX/UI which puts usability and accessibility at the forefront.
  • Able to scrutinise user requirements, acceptance criteria and visually communicate ideas to a standard that can be translated into working solutions.
  • 3 years front end development experience in HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery.
  • 3 years’ experience of solution development using ASP.NET, C# and MVC5.
  • Use of source control repositories such as GIT, SVN or TFS.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Photoshop or Fireworks.
  • Experience in wireframing/mocking tools (e.g. Balsamic, Mockflow, Moqups etc.)
  • Experience of developing and designing mobile applications (iOS, Android and UWP).
  • Experience developing in Xamarin Forms across iOS, Android and UWP.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and TSQL.
  • Any exposure to Azure PaaS services (Web Sites, Functions, Logic Apps etc.) would be also highly advantageous.
