Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management

The HRM subject group, part of the Department of Business and Management at UWE, is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in HRM who can contribute fully to departmental activities, including teaching, research and external engagement. The post is based at our new Bristol Business School at our Frenchay Campus which offers world class facilities. This new £55million home has enhanced our ability to deliver an innovative and exciting practice-led curriculum and strengthened our stakeholder engagement activity regionally, nationally and internationally. Our vision is to be internationally renowned for enterprising and practice-led teaching and research that benefit our students and society.

Candidates should hold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, preferably a PhD (or be close to completion) and be committed to teaching and research. The post holder will join a vibrant and growing HRM team comprising 26 academic members of staff, and be expected to make a significant contribution to teaching activities of the group at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We particularly welcome applicants with proven ability to teach and lead in the areas of strategic HRM, resourcing, reward, employee relations and applied HRM skills. The nature of the subject group’s teaching means that candidates should be confident, outgoing and comfortable working as part of a teaching team on large modules as well as independently on specialist HRM modules.
