Reporting to and working with the Departmental Manager, the Departmental Administration Office Team Leader is responsible for leading and overseeing the full range of administrative activities within the Department of Animal & Plant Sciences.

This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient running of departmental administration requirements and in providing day to day leadership in the office team in support of staff and student recruitment, HR processes and in teaching and research.

In conjunction with the Departmental Manager the role will also involve the constant monitoring and review of the Administration Office and its systems and procedures to ensure the service provided is efficient, and effective across the full range of its activities. The activities of this role will in particular include managing and maintaining accurate information and providing advice on postgraduate student finance. The role will also require representing the department in Faculty and University level meetings and activities as necessary.

You will have a good honours degree or equivalent experience and experience of working in the HE sector in support of a diverse range of activities including student recruitment and admissions, student support, finance, HR and marketing.
