Lecturer in Clinical Psychology

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 8. The salary range will be £43,023- £50,753 per annum plus market supplement of £11,532 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

The Research Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology is a world-leading centre of research in mental health. The Clinical Psychology Doctoral course is currently the largest in the UK and has close links to NHS departments across London and to other courses across the UK. There is strong emphasis in the department on the development and evaluation of novel approaches to the treatment of mental disorders and on developing a better an understanding to the underlying mechanisms of mental disorders. There are strong links with psychiatry and cognitive neuroscience and a Faculty wide emphasis on multi-disciplinary collaboration. The postholder would be expected to develop a research programme (including securing competitive grant funding), and to contribute towards the teaching, academic and research supervision and support of trainee clinical psychologists. The potholder will also be encouraged to maintain a clinical role.

The successful candidate should hold, or be about to hold, a Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. A research degree (PhD) would also be an advantage. The candidate should  possess a strong academic record and show evidence of an ambitious and productive research trajectory, including having published in high caliber scientific journals. An interest in the area of adult mental health would be welcomed but is not a  key requirement.
