eLearning Editorial Assistant

The Royal College of Emergency Medicine

The College was established in 2008 by Royal Charter as a charitable body.  It works to ensure high quality care for patients by setting and monitoring standards of care in emergency departments, as well as providing expert guidance and advice on policy to relevant bodies on matters relating to Emergency Medicine (EM).  The College has over 6,000 Fellows and Members and works to represent both its members and the interests of patients.  The College advances education and research in EM and is responsible for setting standards of training and administering examinations for the award of Fellowship and Membership of the College.

The RCEM is unique amongst medical royal colleges because it has its own elearning site, RCEMLearning.  The most recent platform was launched in March 2015; in March 2017 a new version was launched which integrated the RCEM FOAMed Network with a Virtual Learning Environment.  It also hosts the College’s CPD Diary.  Key analytics demonstrate a significant year on year increase in usage across the site.  This increase in demand has created an exciting opportunity to join a busy and dynamic team to help ensure RCEMLearing remains at the forefront of technological and pedagogical developments.

The eLearning Editorial Assistant is a pivotal role within the RCEMLearning Team, led by the Head of eLearning.  The successful applicant will therefore be someone seeking new challenges whilst utilising their knowledge and experience to help develop and deliver the College’s strategic aims.
