Salary from £34,736 pa inclusive of London allowance

This is a fixed term appointment for one year, starting from 3 September 2018, with a possibility of extension for a further one-two years.

The LSE Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method seeks applications for a one-year LSE Fellowship in Philosophy, which has the potential to be extended for a further 1-2 years subject to performance and funding availability.

The LSE Fellow in Philosophy will participate in research, teaching, and undergraduate advising, with a teaching load appropriate for an early-career faculty member at LSE. Fellows are also encouraged to take full advantage of the Department's vibrant philosophy of science research environment and resources.

Candidates will have a completed or near-complete PhD in Philosophy or another discipline involving philosophy of physics, by the post start-date. Candidates must have a strong or strongly-developing research record in the philosophy of physics and demonstrate a broad knowledge of the philosophy of physics. Candidates should display evidence of outstanding teaching abilities, including the ability to teach broadly in the philosophy of physics at a level that is accessible to undergraduates at the London School of Economics.

Candidates should also possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
