About the Company:

Cellular Therapeutics Ltd is focused on developing patient specific immunotherapy, allowing the patient’s own immune system to be harnessed in order to fight cancers. Specifically CTL is developing adoptive cell therapy (ACT) and has expertise in manufacturing and engineering of cells in a GMP compliant manner ready for patient infusion. The company is a spinout from the University of Manchester research group led by Professor Robert Hawkins and our team has a track record of developing cell therapies with clinical success.

The Opportunity:

We are therefore pleased to offer an excellent opportunity to join this early stage SME at a dynamic and exciting time in the evolution of the company. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated person to the post of Cell Therapy Technician which will be based at Cellular Therapeutics Limited (CTL). The post holder will be expected to contribute towards GMP production of medicinal products for patient treatment. CTL is undertaking GMP manufacture of cell therapy products for multiple ground breaking clinical trials utilising autologous Cell Therapies to target cancer. The post is available immediately and is a permanent position with 6 month probationary period. The successful candidate will be a dedicated individual with excellent organisational skills and must have a keen interest in translation of scientific research into novel treatments for cancer.

Responsibilities/Qualifications/Skills:

The successful candidate will carry out manufacture of cell therapies according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and participate in all activities to support this GMP in the facility. The candidate will hold a graduate degree in a biological science with experience in an immunology related discipline. A basic knowledge of Biomedicine and practical experience in T cell and immune/cancer biology and associated assays is preferred. An understanding of the role of the MHRA, HTA and the H&SE in Good Manufacturing Practice would be an advantage and experience of working to GMP would be highly desirable.
