This post is offered on either salary Grade D (£18,777 - £21,585) or Grade E (£21,585 - £23,557 per annum) dependent upon the criteria as set out in the attached Job Descriptions and Person Specifications.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified, motivated, and enthusiastic person to join the Chemistry and Bioscience teams and provide high quality technical support to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching laboratories, research, and other applied work in the department. You will work with spectrophotometers, rotary evaporators, gel electrophoresis, centrifuges, and undertake aseptic techniques. A depth of knowledge and at least two years’ experience in maintaining and operating these or similar systems would be a requirement for the Grade E position. The Grade D position may be offered to those with less experience/lower qualifications as defined in the attached Person Specifications.

You will have a background in Chemistry and Biology and be able to communicate well, be tidy and organized, have an eye for detail, and be committed to providing a positive student experience.
