Research Fellow - Shared Education (Part-Time)

This post is available until 30 April 2020 in the first instance working 22.2 hours per week to be an active member of the Centre for Shared Education (CSE), assisting in the planning and delivery of research activity in relation to national and international research programmes supported by the Centre, and to contribute to the development of new strands of work.

This post requires a mixed-methods researcher with quantitative and qualitative skills to assist in the management and analysis of data from the Shared Education Signature Project Research Study led by Dr Caitlin Donnelly, and working closely with Prof. Joanne Hughes on related research projects.

The successful candidate must have:

  • An upper second class honours degree (or equivalent) or a Master’s degree in social science, statistics, or other relevant discipline.
  • Hold a PhD in a relevant subject.
  • Relevant qualitative and quantitative research experience in education or the social or health sciences.
  • Understanding and experience of using online survey methods.
  • Experience of using SPSS for data analysis.
  • Knowledge of qualitative data collection methods and techniques for analysis.
  • Experience of communicating research to lay audiences.

Anticipated interview date: Friday 11 May 2018.

Salary scale: £32,548 - £35,550 per annum pro rata.
