Post-Doctoral Research Assistant: Administering the Cultural and Heritage Sectors Across Europe

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Public Policy/Administration to join the Department of Social Sciences, in the Faculty of Arts, Design and Social Sciences.

The post, funded by the EU Horizon 20/20 project ‘COGOV’, is fixed-term for 42 months. You will be a key member of the COGOV team – comprising 10 partners from across Europe - and will carry out both quantitative and qualitative research particularly focussing on organisations in the cultural and heritage sectors.

The research further aims to identify and diffuse leading edge experiments across Europe in new and more participatory approaches to public administration and the strategic renewal of public services organization, within the context of debates on: Public Value; Co-Creation; Co-Governance; Networked Governance and Digital Governance.   

Key tasks include: supporting the project team in the development and implementation of a large questionnaire survey across six European states; and contributing to the development of a series of 15 case studies across Europe; producing a series of detailed reports based on an analysis of the case studies;.
