Data Quality Officer

University of Oxford - Development Office

Grade 5: £24,983 - £29,799 with a discretionary range to £32,548 p.a.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable individual with excellent data, organisational and interpersonal skills to join the Data Team for the Development and Alumni Relations System (DARS).

Based at the DARS Support Centre in the Development Office, the DARS Data Team is responsible for modelling, monitoring, maintaining and improving the data held in the DARS database as well as providing user support within a wide range of areas such as data quality, reporting, compliance and governance.

Reporting to the DARS Architect, and working alongside other Data Officers, you will assist with important data-related inquiries, improve the data quality within our database and deliver support through data migrations. Your contribution will be essential for the effectiveness of the activities supporting Development and Alumni Relations across the University of Oxford.

You should have a passion for data and be committed to deliver an excellent work performance. You will be a team player with the ability to work independently, to communicate effectively and to adopt an assertive approach to problem solving. It is essential that you have a good level of computer literacy as well as outstanding keyboard and data management skills.

We offer a challenging and fulfilling working experience with a wealth of opportunities to develop your professional skills. This is an exciting time to join a friendly team which is going through a period of change and growth.

Whilst the role is a Grade 5 position, we would be willing to consider candidates with potential but less experience who are seeking a development opportunity, for which an initial appointment would be at Grade 4 (£21,585 - £24,983 p.a.) with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly. This would be discussed with applicants at interview/appointment where appropriate.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Friday 27 April 2018. Interviews are anticipated to take place on Friday 11 May 2018.

Closing Date: 27-APR-2018 12:00
