An opportunity has arisen to join the Centre for Medical Education, providing academic leadership, teaching and support for the Neonatal Post Graduate Taught Team.  This post provides academic support for the Centre, working closely with staff, students and external stakeholders to do so.

We are looking for an experienced educator with a proven record of academic leadership and high levels of management skills.  You should have demonstrated your ability to design, deliver and continuously develop modules / units of study across undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching programmes.

The post holder will also contribute to scholarship and research in the area of Higher Education through participation in conferences, seminars and other academic and professional forums to disseminate the results of individual scholarship.

Applicants should hold a postgraduate degree in a relevant biomedical subject (or similarly equivalent healthcare qualification).  Applicants will hold a Postgraduate teaching qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, Academy of Medical Educators (or similarly recognised professional educator body).

Applicants should also have excellent communication and IT skills, to include the ability to present complex and conceptual basic science topics clearly and confidently to others, using high-level skills and a range of media. (Please see the job description for full information)

This position is part time (7 hours per week non clinical or 7.5 hours Clinical), open-ended and available immediately.

The duties associated with this position can be undertaken either at Senior Lecturer or Senior Clinical Lecturer level and an appointment will be made on the appropriate scale dependent upon qualifications.

Non Clinical Salary: £49,149 - £56,950 per annum (pro-rata) (Grade 8)
Clinical Salary: £74,393 - £96,583 per annum (pro rata) (D6 Clinical scale)
