Optimal light regimes, temperature, watering and nutrient composition will be investigated for improved resource-use efficiency and seed yield together with favourable varietal characteristics. The Plant and Crop Sciences Division is internationally acclaimed as a centre of excellence for fundamental and applied research underpinning our understanding of agriculture, food production and quality, and the natural environment.

Proven technical experience in working with plant controlled-environment and/or field experiments, including analysis of plant samples, is an essential requirement for the role.  Knowledge of growth analysis and gas-exchange/hyperspectral analysis of plant samples would be an advantage.
