You will effectively and efficiently undertake a range of duties associated with teaching, assessment and associated administration to contribute to meeting learning and teaching objectives in Lifelong Learning.
This role is an exciting opportunity to join our team in Lifelong Learning to help deliver our Access Physics classes to students from widening participation and non-traditional backgrounds. The classes are taught online via Zoom on either a Wednesday or Thursday evening, 1830-2130, with the exception of two in-person lab sessions in semester 1 (usually in November) which are held on campus. Classes run over 2 x 11-week teaching blocks starting in September and January. The level of Physics is similar to a Scottish Higher with some Advanced Higher content, and there are typically around 20 students in a class (30 max). Three hours of preparation/administration time are paid for every three hours of teaching, with additional payment hours for marking assessments.
