We seek to appoint an Assistant Professor in Health Research. The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to the teaching, research and administrative activities in the School. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to teaching and research will have engaged in scholarly activities. Furthermore, they will be able to undertake academic administrative work.  This post provides an exciting opportunity to actively contribute to developments pertinent to research areas which are of strategic focus for the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin. The successful candidate will be expected to have a depth of knowledge pertinent to the role and will be expected to attract research funding and attain scholarly publication. The candidate will report to the Head of School.

The School requires an Assistant Professor to promote, contribute to, and grow, nursing and healthcare research activity. The candidate will help to support and develop existing curricula at undergraduate and post-graduate levels across programmes. The successful candidate will require a depth and breadth of knowledge in health research including quantitative, qualitative, and innovative methodologies.

Post status:  5-Year Fixed-Term Contract, Tenure Track

Salary: Appointment will be made on the Assistant Professor (Former pay scale name ‘Lecturer’) Merged Salary Scale (109BN) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy (€39,469 to €95,441 per annum)  https://www.tcd.ie/hr/assets/pdf/monthly-academic.pdf
