The role
The new School of Computer Science is looking to recruit a full time Executive Assistant to provide dedicated support to a senior academic joining the School who has a severe visual impairment.
The Executive Assistant will work closely with the Executive Support Manager to provide high-level executive, PA and administrative support to the specific academic member of staff. In addition the roleholder will, as workload allows, support other academic and professional services teams in the School.
The successful role holder will facilitate office support, events and enabling efficiency in our practices. They will join a welcoming, friendly team of other Professional Services staff in the School.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a new senior academic member of staff and provide tailored support to enable them to excel in the delivery of their high-level research and teaching.

To thrive in this role, you will need to be able to form an effective, friendly and supportive working relationship with the new academic member of staff. You will also need to be able to form effective relationships with staff and stakeholders at all levels and must be highly organised, with a flexible, proactive, and supportive approach to work, with a friendly and positive disposition. Experience of supporting individuals with a disability or specialist requirement will be an advantage.
You will be a great team player, have a can-do attitude and you will have excellent attention to detail to maintain progress across multiple workstreams. You will also be flexible and adaptable so you can assist in the most effective way possible according to the situation and the needs of the individual. You will also be flexible in your working day, able to be onsite as frequently as required, and happy to pick up a wide range of activities.
