We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Assistant - Addressing moral distress among frontline staff to join our Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health team here at the Nuffield Department of Medicine.
The Health Systems Collaborative (HSC) in the NDM Centre for Global Health Research - Oxford Global Health works to link scientists from Oxford with scientists from low and middle-income countries to do research that improves the health of people across the world. You will work on a programme focusing on an essential but neglected ethics and social justice concern in global health research: How international research programmes can ensure fairer research processes that protect frontline staff from moral distress.

You will be tasked with establishing and coordinating a new cross-country ‘frontline staff network’ meeting at least six monthly online to input and advise throughout the project. You will also be responsible for collaborating with other team members to maximise the learning across the programme.
It is essential that you hold a relevant PhD/DPhil (or close to completion) along with relevant experience in health-related topics such as health system resilience/responsiveness, organisational management, public/community engagement, human behaviour, or empirical ethics. You will have experience of working in / supporting multi-country, diverse teams and engaging people from different backgrounds and disciplines and the prior experience of gaining ethical approval for and conducting independent research. You will also have the ability to manage own academic research, associated activities and execute project plans, coordinate small groups and deliver on agreed plans.
Applications for this vacancy are to be made online and you will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application. Your supporting statement must explain how you meet each of the selection criteria for the post using examples of your skills and experience.
