Fellowship and College Lectureship in Economics

University of Cambridge - Selwyn College & Robinson College

Applications are invited for a five-year fixed term Fellowship and College Lectureship in Economics, from 1 October 2018. The successful candidate will have research interests in any appropriate area but will be expected to teach a broad range of subjects within the Economics Tripos. Preference will be given to candidates able to offer undergraduate supervision in macroeconomics and microeconomics.

The Fellowship is intended to provide a valuable development opportunity for a fixed term to an individual in the early stages of their academic career to allow them to build teaching skills, a publication record and other academic activity with a view to obtaining a university appointment in Cambridge or elsewhere.

50% of the teaching will be for Selwyn College, with the remaining 50% for Robinson College, where the successful candidate will be elected into a College Lectureship. The pensionable stipend will be in the range £29,799 - £33,518, being Steps 39-43 on the University scale. The exact stipend will depend on experience and qualifications.

Further particulars can be found on the two College websites:

Applications should be sent to the Master’s Assistant, Selwyn College, Cambridge CB3 9DQ (masters-assistant@sel.cam.ac.uk) by 17.00 on Thursday 10 May 2018. Candidates should also arrange for three confidential references to be sent to the Master’s Assistant by the same date.

It is expected that interviews will be held in late May 2018.

For an informal discussion about the post please contact the Senior Tutor at Selwyn College, Dr Mike Sewell: senior.tutor@sel.cam.ac.uk or the Senior Tutor at Robinson College, Dr Bill Nolan: wpn1000@cam.ac.uk
