Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a PhD degree within the research area. Extensive expertise within one or more of the areas indicated below are required:

• Differentiation programs of endocrine cells.
• MicroRNAs involved in endocrinological disorders.
• Analysis of miRNA expression and functional analysis of miRNAs.
• miRomics and genomics in endocrinology.
• Documented scientific qualifications such as an associate professor equivalent in relation to the above mentioned subject areas.

You are also required to be enterprising, to possess good interpersonal skills, and to be a visible, active participant in the department’s daily activities, in addition to being willing to engage in disciplinary and interdisciplinary collaboration across the department.

Assessment:
In the assessment of the candidates consideration will be given to:

• original scientific production at an international level in relation to the above-mentioned field(s) (extraordinary important in connection with professor MSO),
• development of the field (extraordinary important in connection with professor MSO),
• experience with providing dynamic leadership in the development of research and teaching,
• a track record in securing external research funding,
• the ability to promote and utilize research results,
• experience in teaching and education,
• ability to contribute to development of the department’s internal and external cooperation,
• willingness and capability of teaching in a truly interdisciplinary environment. The university builds on problem-oriented project work, student involvement and student responsibilities. Thus experience in project guidance is an advantage.
• if relevant, documentation on participation in regional collaboration,
• fluency in English.

Terms of employment:
The position will be filled according to the Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The position is covered by the Protocol on Job Structure.

Commencing salary will be for professor (MSO) minimum DKK 534.788 per year (1st April 2016 level) plus pension contribution (17,1 %).

The professorship with special responsibilities (MSO) is a category where the appointment is limited to a -year period. On the expiry of the professorship period, the appointee is ensured employment and remuneration as an associate professor.
