Located within the School of Human and Health Sciences, the newly created Department of Allied Health Professions, Sports and Exercise Science is a high performing entity that provides its students and staff with exceptional opportunities for teaching and research all within an applied and focused environment.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to lead our new Department. Candidates will have significant experience in a senior role and be able to lead, motivate and manage a range of academic staff, build research capacity and ensure effective and efficient delivery of a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. They will be PhD-qualified, with a strong national/ international profile in a relevant area of research, a substantial track record of publications, external grant income and PhD completions. Finally, as a member of the School Senior Management Team, they will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic planning and implementation to achieve key performance indicators within the School and University Strategy.
