Senior Lecturer in Events Management

Oxford Brookes Business School is currently expanding its events related provision, and is looking for a part-time, 0.5FTE, Senior Lecturer in Events Management to join our team in the delivery of our undergraduate and post-graduate degrees. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to be involved in establishing Events Management as a specialist subject in the Business School.

The Business School invests heavily in the development of its staff and many opportunities exist for the appointee to further develop their career and expertise (discipline-based and / or pedagogic). In addition, the School offers significant support for research and knowledge exchange activity. You will enjoy working in a positive, growth-oriented academic environment and you will show enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues.

As Senior Lecturer in Events Management you should have:

  • Experience in developing programmes, and / or training activities, at HE level or equivalent and a commitment to course enhancement
  • Understanding of the role of academic research, the events management industry and the business environment in which it operates; as well as how that should impact on course design and teaching and learning activities
  • Ability to engage events management students at UG and PG level in teaching and learning activities.
