Logistics Manager and Project Officer

Reporting to the Campus Operations Manager, you will provide project and logistics management services in relation to College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine operations at the Edinburgh BioQuarter Campus. There will be a particular focus for at least five years on the operational aspects of planned estates developments and delivering a complex series of staff relocations ensuring that College strategic objectives are achieved. You will ensure that deliverables are achieved on time, are well coordinated and within budget while maintaining high standards and levels of continuity for research and teaching.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent with experience of project management and will have a background in a scientific field. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to use tact and communication skills to influence and motivate internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the entire team is working to agreed parameters. You will have a calm demeanour, positive attitude, resourcefulness, reliability, commitment, flexibility, and be a strong team player. A rigorous attention to detail is a prerequisite.

You will have knowledge of Health and Safety issues and regulations as they relate to research facilities. Project planning and management experience are essential. A high level of IT literacy and the ability to maintain web based data bases is required.
