Are you looking for an opportunity to make a real contribution to students’ success at University? We are looking for an enthusiastic Academic Skills Tutor to join our highly regarded Skills for Learning Team, providing academic skills support to students in our University. The team supports the development of student academic communication, numeracy and IT skills, through embedded teaching in modules, open workshops, one-to-one support and a wide range of online resources. This post will specialise in the area of Academic Communication, including all aspects and types of academic writing, critical thinking and presentation skills. You will build strong partnerships with academic staff in the Schools to integrate academic skills into the curriculum and will design teaching and learning materials for both face-to-face teaching and online learning environments.

You should have a degree in a relevant discipline, excellent academic communication skills, and experience of teaching academic skills. You will also have experience of using learning technologies to support students in their academic skills development.
