The role

To contribute to enhancing the quality and quantity of business and data analytics research and its implications for leadership, entrepreneurship, marketing, strategy, operations, innovation, and human resources management in areas related to: machine learning, big data analytics, data visualization, computational modelling, advanced social network techniques and advanced quantitative methods, such as multi-level and panel models. Experience working with inter-disciplinary teams is highly valued.

Salary: Lecturer: £34,520 - £42,418 (Grade F), Snr Lecturer: £42,418 - £56,950 (Grade G) depending on skills and experience (salary supplements will also be considered)

About you

For a Lecturer post you will have:

  • A PhD or equivalent in Business/Management or related areasand have an independent, internationally-recognised research programme in a relevant active field of research.
  • A strong record in attracting funding for research, or demonstrate potential to attract such funding.
  • An active approach to inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary research.
  • Enthusiasm for delivering high quality undergraduate programmes.
  • Strong connections and funded projects with business and community partners.
  • Involvement in projects which develop impact.

For Senior Lecturer, in addition to the above, you will have:

  • A strong potential for research leadership.
  • A track record in refereed publications and success in significant grant capture.
  • Relationships with external organisations and funders/ and knowledge and experience of key sectors or business challenges.
