3 Funded PhD Scholarships in History

Duration: 4 years

Stipend: €16,000 per annum + fees or a contribution to fees of €5,750 per annum

The Department of History at Trinity College Dublin is now accepting applications for 6 PhD scholarships under two schemes: Trinity College Dublin Provost’s PhD Project Awards and the Irish Research Council Laureate Awards.

The PhD projects fall into the following areas:

1 Scholarship in 20th-century Chinese History: IRC Laureate Award – CHINACHILD: Slave-girls and the Discovery of Female Childhood in 20th-century China (Dr Isabella Jackson)

1 Scholarship in 20th-century US History: Trinity College Dublin Provost’s PhD Project Award – Integration: An Intellectual History (Dr Daniel Geary)

1 Scholarship in Environmental History: IRC Laureate Award – CLICAB: Climates of Conflict in Ancient Babylonia (Dr Francis Ludlow)
