The University of West London is seeking to appoint an outstanding, ambitious, and enterprising
individual to provide vision, direction and leadership as Director of London College of Music (LCM).

About the role
Founded in 1887, London College of Music is the largest specialist Music & Performing Arts Institution in the UK. As part of the University of West London, LCM offers talented students the opportunity to enjoy a world-class Conservatoire style
education within a university setting.

As Director of LCM, you will play a key role within the Senior Management Team and contribute proactively to the development of the University. Combining your substantial higher education experience with your passion for composition and performance, you will bring creativity, ambition and fresh ideas to shape and enhance the student experience. Through your inspiring leadership, you will build and develop an outstanding team; provide a vision for teaching and learning; identify new growth opportunities and play an integral part in implementing the College’s Strategy, in line with the University’s plans.

What you need
Ideally you will have a doctorate (or equivalent professional experience) and have significant experience of developing, implementing and enhancing high-quality educational, research or enterprise activities. You must be able to demonstrate both management and team-building experience, as well as your commitment to following a clear business vision.
