The School of Social Sciences (SOSS), Singapore Management University, invites applications for one Lecturer/Senior lecturer in the Humanities and Social Sciences who can contribute to the delivery of the University’s Core Curriculum to begin in July 2019, during which time a doctorate in a relevant discipline must be in hand.
We are especially interested in candidates with an excellent record of teaching who can contribute to the delivery of interdisciplinary survey courses such as “Happiness and Suffering,” “Global and Local” and “Wealth and Poverty.” An ability to teach courses in Science, Technology, and Society would also be a plus.
Singapore Management University is a research university committed to an interdisciplinary and integrated curriculum, providing opportunities to work with faculty across the social sciences and humanities. The research support is excellent, and salary and benefits are highly competitive. The teaching load is typically eight repeatable sections for the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (with as low as one or two preparations), taught in a small-class seminar style.
