The consortium NanoGraz is looking for a

Doctoral Candidate within the framework of the Doctoral Academy

(Project Assistant, 30 hours a week; fixed-term employment for the period of 3 years; position to be filled as of now)

for an interdisciplinary project of the Department for Physical Chemistry (Prof. L. Grill) and the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Prof. A. Zimmer).

Your duties

  • Investigation of Drug Delivery Systems on the level of Single Molecules
  • Investigation and manipulation of single molecules at surfaces by scanning probe techniques
  • Investigation of intermolecular interactions
  • Doctorate thesis

Your profile

  • Master in chemistry, physics or pharmaceutical sciences (or comparable)
  • Knowledge in the field of experimental physics, physical chemistry or preformulation
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
  • Communication and organizational skills and ability to work in teams

Salary scheme of the Universitäten-KV (University Collective Agreement): B1

Minimum salary

The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 2096.00 gross/month. This minimum salary may be higher due to previous employment periods eligible for inclusion and other earnings and remunerations.
