ABOUT THE POST
The Head of Finance Business Partners is the senior professional role supporting financial business planning in the University. Heading up a team of financial business partners, you will be responsible for providing detailed financial analysis and management information to the University’s senior leadership and management to enable them to make informed decisions and to
track progress when decisions have been implemented.
You will advise on the development of successful business cases to support investment and use your commercial expertise to help develop clear and measurable benefits from investment proposals that support decision-making.
The University uses wide range of management information to plan and manage its activities. The University is also required to submit a range of compliance returns. You will be responsible for ensuring that financial information in our returns is of the highest quality.
You will contribute to the identification of improvements and new opportunities that help deliver the University’s aims and will influence strategic decision making through persuasion and through your analysis and reporting of key information to strategic decision makers.
You will be the custodian of the University’s financial planning outputs, receiving, recording and reporting strategic decisions.
You will be the go-to person for University financial management information and key performance indicators, leading the provision of a single source of accurate metrics that are accessible, robust and meaningful to the University.
