This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary international collaborative project led by University of Liverpool to study the selection and transmission of antimicrobial resistance in the Indian poultry industry. This PDRA position would be involved in the development of qPCR assays for key antimicrobial resistance genes for in vivo and in vitro work on the selection of resistance, along with next generation sequencing in the UK and India. The post would suit a scientist with experience in microbiology, including next generation sequencing and expertise around antimicrobial resistance. The post holder would be expected to spend short periods (1-2 weeks) in India to help with training and to deliver the project and attend project meetings as needed. You should have a PhD in Microbiology or a related area. The post is available until 31 June 2021.
