The Department of Sports Development is a progressive, forward thinking department within the University of Bath. Home to the English Institute of Sport (South West) and housed principally in the Sports Training Village, TeamBath is a multi-sport environment delivering to elite athletes, staff & students of the university and the local community. The department offers a wide range of sports programmes and activities focussing on high quality service and excellent provision.

The Tennis Academy has been one of the Lawn Tennis Associations International High Performance Centres and the role will require the effective management of county, regional and international junior tennis players in terms of high performance coaching, sport science and medicine support and the management of strength & conditioning staff.

As part of the TeamBath/LTA RPDC you will plan, deliver and oversee the coaching programme for some of Britain’s top 10-14 year olds. Responsibilities include developing the competitive, technical, physical and psychological aspects of each player’s game and working towards their long-term tennis development and educational needs. The goal will be to produce and develop U14 tennis players to compete internationally at the junior, university and senior stage eventually. Additionally you will have to manage and develop excellent relations with the LTA and enhance the internal club development pathway.
