The John Innes Centre is an international centre of excellence in plant science and microbiology. We invite applications for new Project Leader positions from creative early-career or established researchers who wish to develop independent programs relevant to these fields. We encourage applications from researchers from all branches of life sciences, physical sciences, mathematics and engineering. The main criteria on which appointments are made are scientific excellence and the promise of the proposed research plans. Applicants are invited to describe (i) their current research and (ii) their short and longer-term research aims and potential impact (each ~2-3 pages). Appointments can be made at any level depending on experience and come with significant support (professional development, research and administrative). Start-up research funding is negotiable and Tenure is available for senior appointees.
