Founded in 1929, Chongqing University (CQU) is a key national university located in Chongqing, Southwest of China. It is one of the "Excellence League" and "Project 211 and Project 985” universities with full support in the construction and development from the Central Government and Chongqing Municipal Government. CQU has established cooperation with 115 institutions of higher education in over 20 countries, including the USA, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Canada, Australia, Japan, and South Korea. The university has also established partnerships with prestigious international corporations, such as Siemens, Ford, Rockwell Automation, IBM, Microsoft, Lipo Group, New York Life Insurance, Omron, and ABB. At present, CQU is on the List of World-Class Universities and First-Class Disciplines (abbreviated as “Double First-Class”) released in 2017 by the Ministry of Education of China and financially supported by the Government.

The College of Mechanical Engineering (CME) was founded in 1935 and is one of the largest historical colleges in CQU. It provides national teaching and research platforms for students and faculty members, such as State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Transmission, National Demonstration Center of Experimental Teaching, National Characteristic Discipline, Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing Virtual and Simulation Laboratory Teaching Center. CME is now pathing its way for the development of seven Centres of Excellence, namely Modern Design of Advanced Heavy Equipment, Transmission of Gear Systems, Advanced Robotics, Green Intelligent Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Innovation for Competitiveness, Advanced Manufacturing, Measurement and Control of Machinery Systems. In this new century, CME is taking full advantage of the opportunities arose, and through innovation and effective strategies, it is heading towards a comprehensive, research-oriented and world-class College contributing to the education sector. We offer attractive salary package, including relocation contribution, housing allowance (or apartment provision) and start-up funds, depending on the position offered. Spouse’s job and children’s schooling can be arranged, and other relevant arrangements can also be negotiated. 

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must have a PhD degree or post-doctorate experience from an internationally renowned university.
  • The successful candidate must have a good professional background, academic potential and internationalized vision, and have strong publication in leading international journals in the field.
  • The successful candidate must be capable of engaging in teaching and scientific research and be able to deliver relevant teaching courses.
