HOURS: Full time

DURATION: Fixed Term Contract for 2 years, starting, 1 May 2019 (or later with mutual agreement)

LOCATION: University of Birmingham – UK

Applications are invited for two Research Fellow positions in Combinatorics.

Candidates will be required to conduct original research within the research project and disseminate research findings for publication, research seminars and conferences.  They will contribute to the scientific reporting for the project and undertake management/administration arising from research.


  • A PhD in Combinatorics or related areas awarded or submitted at the time of taking up the position.
  • Promising track record in Combinatorics, in particular Extremal and Probabilistic Combinatorics or a closely related area
  • High level of analytical capability
  • Ability to communicate Mathematics clearly
