The Department for Health is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Sports Management. The successful applicant will contribute to undergraduate programmes across two courses within the Department; BA Sport and Social Sciences (soon to be BSc Sport Management and Coaching) and FD/BSc Sports Performance. The courses attract bright and dynamic students through our strong reputation in sports-related research that informs our teaching, and the opportunity to study at a university renowned for promoting and facilitating sporting excellence; the University was named Sports University of the Year in 2017/2018 by The Times.
The successful applicant will join a team of lecturers and teaching fellows delivering a suite of units across programmes, and will be expected to lead in teaching and supervision related to sports management. They will be asked to take on other roles in teaching support such as personal tutoring, dissertation supervision, course development and other administrative activities as they arise.
The Department is committed to delivering excellence in both research and teaching, and to providing a supportive and inclusive working environment. The post is advertised as full time, but we are happy to consider job-share and part time applications.
This is a fixed term position of up to 17 months to cover a period of temporary absence, with a proposed start date of 28th January 2019. Interviews will be held during the week beginning Monday 10th December.
