The University of Sunderland is committed to delivering high quality teaching and research which focuses on the development of its students, city and region. We are passionate in our ambition to enable people from diverse backgrounds to enter into education and provide them with skills which are not only personally transformative, but also help to shape the futures of their own communities and societies.
The School of Psychology, which is part of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing, is home to a vibrant team of academics who offer a range of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
We are therefore looking to recruit a Principal Lecturer Team Leader who will have a focus on our postgraduate provision, but the appointee will also take the lead on the development of our TNE provision, operationalising our income generating activities and contribute to the integration of research activities within our portfolio of awards. There will also be line management responsibilities and a role as part of the School of Psychology Management Team.
While applications from any area of psychology are welcome, applicants must be able to demonstrate a track record of innovative curriculum design, especially at the postgraduate level. Equally, you should be able to evidence ways in which you have motivated colleagues to work as a team and have a good understanding of the metrics underlying both REF, TEF and KEF.
So, if you are interested in working with a friendly, conscientious and ambitious team of psychologists and would like to live in on one of the most beautiful coastlines in the UK please contact Dr Richard Darby-Davis, Head of School of Psychology (Richard.Darby-Davis@sunderland.ac.uk) for further information.
Please note that this role is not eligible for Tier 2 sponsorship in accordance with the Home Office Points Based Immigration System. Should you therefore require further information, please visit the Home Office website www.gov.uk
