We are looking for a well-trained, highly motivated Senior Research Assistant supporting the work of the Channon/Crabtree group – supported by a British Heart Foundation Programme Grant. The group has a leading track record of work in cardiovascular disease pathogenesis, combining molecular techniques in cell culture, targeted genetic mouse models and studies using clinical material.

You will also provide guidance to less experienced members of the research group, including postdocs, research assistants, technicians, and PhD and project students, and will participate in wider laboratory management within the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine.
You will hold a PhD or equivalent qualification, or have significant relevant experience working in a research laboratory. You should also have proven experience in lab/project management and evidence of collaborative working across groups within a Department/Institute. Previous experience culturing primary cells and immortalised cell lines would be desirable.
This full-time appointment is on a fixed-term until 31 July 2022 and you will be based at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics, Roosevelt Drive, Oxford. Applications for this vacancy are to be made online; you will be required to upload a CV and supporting statement which explains how you meet the selection criteria for the post.
