We are seeking to appoint a well-motivated and enthusiastic member of staff with strong organisational and interpersonal skills to develop, lead and deliver the pre-registration pharmacy training programme across the North West Region. The position would be an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in leading pharmacy education and training.
The Division of Pharmacy and Optometry at the University of Manchester holds the contract to provide the off-job training programme for pre-registration pharmacists in NHS Trusts across the North West of England. Under the contract, we provide the training on an annual basis for 71 pre-registration pharmacy placements across 24 NHS Trusts.
The post-holder will support the pre-registration students and tutors within NHS Trusts and liaise with relevant stakeholders in the region and nationally. The post will be available for an 18-month period in the first instance, with the possibility of extension. Candidates should hold registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have an established track record of delivering learning and supporting learners. A postgraduate qualification in education or fellowship of the Higher Education Academy would be advantageous.
